Overview

How Agentic AI is practiced here

Agents operate in the systems where the work is already done. Retrieval is limited to authorized sources. Each tool call is checked for scope before execution. Changes to a record require approval. The same controls apply to our own delivery.

What we do

  • Task completion within defined guardrailsA goal is split into steps and completed within defined guardrails, including booking, routing, drafting, and matching.
  • Tool calls in production systemsCalls to APIs, calendars, CRMs, knowledge bases, and internal services, with scope enforced in the application.
  • Answers tied to source materialReports, policies, and product data are returned with the source passage when accuracy is required.
  • Specialist agents by functionSeparate agents for research, evaluation, and operations, coordinated on one task.

Core foundations we adopt

01
GatewayModelTask

Orchestration

A goal is split into steps. The gateway runs them, and the model proposes what happens next.

  • The gateway holds the task, the prompt, and the result.
  • The model proposes one next step, then waits.
  • The application chooses whether that step continues.

02
PolicyScopeIdentity

Guardrails

Permission is enforced in the application, before a call leaves.

  • Identity and scope are checked on every request.
  • Reads and writes are granted separately.
  • An out-of-scope request stops, and the reason stays with the run.

03
RetrievalAPIsCall

Tools

Production systems connect through the gateway, with only the scope the task was granted.

  • Retrieval stays inside the sources the task may read.
  • Calendars, CRMs, APIs, and internal services share that path.
  • What comes back is context for the next step.

CitationRefusalRouting

Harness

Representative cases run before a release.

  • Citation cases check that an answer names its source.
  • Refusal cases check that an out-of-scope request stops.
  • Routing cases check that the task reaches the right tool.

05
RecordsPeopleContext

Approval

A change to a record waits for someone on the operating team.

  • The agent drafts the change and holds it.
  • A person approves it or sends it back.
  • That decision comes back as context for the next step.

Impact

We automate the repeated core of an operation.

Agents take booking, routing, drafting, and matching through the systems a team already uses. Scope is checked before a call. A change to a record stays with a person.

  • 01

    Work continues after the reply

Authorized steps continue after the response, rather than returning to a manual queue.

  • 02

Record changes stay with the team

Exceptions and record changes remain with the operating team.

  • 03

    Guidance where the decision sits

Recommendations appear in the workflow where the decision is made.

  • 04

    Less repeated entry

Multi-step tasks replace repeated manual entry.

  • 05

    An agent for each function

Research, evaluation, and operations each run on an agent built for that function.

How we do it

01
WorkflowSystemsRequirements
Discover

We start in the operation: the workflow as it runs, the systems it touches, and what has to be true before an agent takes a step.

02
CasesRefusalsSources
Golden set

A golden dataset comes before the build. It holds the cases that should succeed, the requests that should stop, and the sources each case has to read.

03
ScopeApprovalIdentity
Guardrails

Those cases decide the guardrails. Reads, tool calls, and the actions that wait for a person are written down before anything is connected.

04
OrchestrationToolsHandoff
Implement

The workflow is then built into the systems the team already uses: orchestration, the tool connections, and the approval handoff.

05
TestReviseRelease
Evaluate

We run the golden dataset against that build, revise the misses, and repeat the pass. Release waits on citation, refusal, and routing.
